COLLEGE BASEBALL SEASON IS ON THE HORIZON AND REMEMBER IT WAS THE MISSISSIPPI STATE THAT STARTED THIS RUN OF MAGNOLIA STATE NATIONAL CHAMPIONS AND THEY WANT BACK TO FORM. MSU DID NOT HAVE THE SEASON THEY WANTED LAST YEAR WHEN THEY COME IN AS DEFENDERS NATIONAL CHAMPIONS. THEY MISSED THE NCAA TOURNAMENT AND FINISHED 2 AND 12 IN THEIR LAST 14 GAMES. BUT THIS YEAR YOU FEEL REJUVENATED. YOU HAVE Veterans LIKE TEAM CAPTAIN LUCK HANCOCK RETURNING TO LEAD A GOOD MIX OF Veterans and Newcomers. MSU IS UNDER THE RADAR INTO 2023. HEAD COACH CHRIS LEMONIS AND HANCOCK SAY THIS YEAR IS A FRESH START FOR A TEAM WITH POTENTIAL BUT THEY NEED TO BE TOGETHER. MSU HAS AN INFLOW OF LOCAL TALENT TO THIS YEAR’S LINEUP, BOTH OLD AND NEW. THEY HAVE 7 JACKSON METRO AREA PLAYERS IN THIS YEAR’S SQUAD. ONE OF THEM IS RETURNING KELLUM CLARK WHO WAS MAJOR CONTRIBUTION TO 2021 TITLE IN HER RUM. HE SAYS THE LOCAL PLAYERS ON THIS TEAM SIMPLY LOVE MSU AND WANT TO MAKE THEIR OWN STORIES IN THE PROGRAM.
