MOBILE, Ala. – South Alabama scored three times in the first 10 minutes of the second half to pull away for a 4-1 win over ULM Thursday night at The Cage.

The Jaguars (7-1-5 overall, 3-0-2 Sun Belt Conference) struck early, as Jasmine Greene scored in the second minute for the 1-0 USA lead.

ULM (9-3-2, 1-3-1 SBC) had its only two shot attempts of the first half miss high, while ULM goalkeeper Mickaela Leal made a save on a shot by Monique Gray. USA’s only other shot attempt missed high and wide in the half, keeping the Jaguars in front, 1-0, at the half.

USA worked quickly in the second half as well. Imane Addi scored in the 47th minute as the Jags doubled the lead, 2-0.

In the 51st minute, Morgan Cross stretched the lead to 3-0. Gray then found the back of the net in the 55th minute for a 4-0 lead.

ULM converted on its only shot on goal of the match as Efi Brame scored in the 90th minute to avoid the shutout, 4-1.

ULM attempted just five shots in the match, while USA had 13, putting six on goal.

The Warhawks return to Brown Stadium to meet Arkansas State at 1 pm Sunday.
