Happy Saturday everyone, we had a few downpours this morning towards Louisiana trying to find their way across the Mississippi. I think this will cause some showers later today across the river and across to our delta districts. But much of central Mississippi, particularly along and east of 5 55, should be fairly dry today, temperatures are cool at 7.40 this morning and around freezing from Carthage to Raleigh and Bass Field. Real Field Vice had an early twenties this morning but now that the sun is up we’re warming up a bit but we’ll stay cold for the next few hours until we finally get into our fifties about the mid-morning and sixties Years that returned in the afternoon. So schedule that today. Again, *** a few showers will be possible along the river and Delta County is very light in nature and isolated, but when it comes to rain, chances for the weekend, *** much of that will be tailored for tomorrow. So if we plan hour by hour tonight we should have dry temperatures in the 50’s, highs tomorrow afternoon, back into the 60’s and then the rain and storms will return. So when we go back into the night hours, clouds, increased rain, opportunities and isolated spots in the morning. This becomes widespread as we head into the afternoon and early evening hours, even *** a few Pine Belt counties and down toward the coast might get some gusty winds with it ***, but for pretty much all of central Mississippi, We’re seeing heavy rain and a damn few thunderstorms, this will last even into the early hours of the night. Eventually we watch that boundary move south, we dry out for me, they keep the clouds close, and then we have lap after lap of rain lap. We have another limit that will prevail next Tuesday and will pretty much come to a standstill from us at the top. That, in addition to the subtropical jet you see in those green arrows, will provide the humidity and rain laps we’ll see. So round one of this coming week is overnight Monday to Tuesday morning, round two is Tuesday afternoon to Wednesday morning, round three is arriving and departing Wednesday during the day preparing for the next front which will last through Thursday and eventually dry us out. On Friday the sun returns and temperatures drop. So this week is going to be one hell of a busy week ahead of us in terms of precipitation totals. I think that’s short in some places, but we’re looking for about 2 to 5 inches over central Mississippi when it comes to this wet weather pattern. So your seven day forecast, you’ll want to keep rain gear handy for the next few days, not much sunshine in the picture and temperatures eventually cooling back below average by the end of next week.
