TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The Tigers played their last street game of the week and traveled south to take on the Crimson Tide of Alabama. While the Memphis Offensive rebounded in the second half, the Alabama lead was too much for the Tigers, and they suffered a 71-44 defeat.

After tonight’s game, Memphis moves to 6-2 overall.

The Alabama offensive challenged the Memphis defenses and took an 8-0 lead to open the first quarter and take a lead of up to 14 play. Memphis would face a 25:13 deficit early in the second quarter.

Memphis struggled to halt the Crimson Tide offensive in the second quarter; Alabama would end up shooting a little more than 46% out of the field, while the Tigers stayed on five points. Memphis would face 43:18 deficit before halftime.

While the Tiger offensive came alive in the third and fourth quarters, Crimson Tide’s lead was too much for Memphis to recover from, and Alabama would win the 71-44 final.
