The chief meteorologist folks are bi bi bi the 40 29 tv dot com forecast for this Monday January 30th and just as expected folks we’re dealing with this sleet storm I’m guessing northwest Arkansas and ** *a bit of sleet and sleet in the river valley, Benton County was hit particularly hard today, but we certainly got hit in Washington, Madison County, Carroll County too. Um, but some of the worst of it was in Benton County today, but we’re all dealing with sleet so we won’t cause power issues. The freezing rain is the problem and we get *** a little more from that freezing rain in the river valley, some sleep, mixed at times. But enough of this freezing rain, there might be some current problems in the river valley over time, but I don’t think as many as last week with the heavy wet snow we had. So I think the worst of the power problems, worse the freezing rain, are probably further southeast toward central Arkansas in other areas, but we’ll get our share. We certainly saw it today and it was very intense as we knew today was likely to be. And even in the river valley it looks like 6pm tonight. M in Northwest Arkansas, to calm things down, *** takes a little longer in the river valley. But from 8pm to 10pm we’re looking a bit calmer, it could still be freezing fog and freezing drizzle tonight. Behind that first wave moving through. That caused a hell of a lot of trouble this morning, especially in the river valley. But even in Northwest Arkansas it wasn’t even very much, I mean it was a *** small amount, but just the tiniest bit of freezing fog and freezing drizzle can lead to *** a lot of accidents as we saw this morning and still worry about tomorrow morning. But hopefully, despite our efforts, at least tomorrow morning people will be a little more aware than they were this morning. Damn it, watch here as we go through our Tuesday of the next wave moving through. This will not be as intense, particularly in Northwest Arkansas, nowhere near as intense as what we saw today, but late morning in the afternoon another wave will be mostly dormant. Maybe ***a little bit of light sleet or even ***a few snowflakes in the river valley Mixture of sleet and sleet for us with this Tuesday wave, um maybe not quite as intense as what we saw today but still quite intense . So the worst part of this second wave on Tuesday, which hit the river valley, definitely didn’t help and temperatures across the region stayed below freezing all day, by late afternoon things were starting to settle down and still might his some concerns tuesday night. Well south of Fort Smith and then there might be a damn third wave when we go Wednesday night. We’ll talk more about that on the third Thursday morning. We’re going to talk about where we’re having travel issues, the biggest issues, where some of that mix is still coming down. We’ve got a heck of a lot more to talk about with you guys here, including the seven day forecast. So much more to hope you can join us 56 and 10 40 29 of course at 9pm on the CW.
