Todd Grantham is reportedly a “viable candidate” for the role in Alabama DC if the top option falls through

Todd Grantham spent the 2022 season as an analyst on Alabama’s coaching staff after being fired as Florida’s defense coordinator in 2021.

Now he could be in line for an even more prestigious role, depending on how the situation in Tuscaloosa develops.

According to Alabama insider Tony Tsoukalas, Grantham is a “viable candidate” for the Alabama defense coordinator job if the Tide can’t hire Jeremy Pruitt to oversee the defense:

Sources have told @TideIllustrated that if the Crimson Tide is unable to hire Jeremy Pruitt for the role, Todd Grantham is a viable candidate for Alabama DC’s position. More here ⬇️

Grantham also served as defense coordinator in Georgia and Mississippi State in the SEC alongside Florida.

Can The Tide hire Pruitt? Will someone else take the job? Or will Nick Saban hand over defense to Grantham for the 2023 season? Alabama faces big questions as this offseason progresses.
