Alabama swimmer wins Olympic silver medal

After the swimmer Rhyan White from Alabama had narrowly missed a medal twice before at the Tokyo Olympics, he won a silver medal on Sunday.

Australia won the women’s 4 x 100 individual medley, while Cate Campbell beat the United States, 0.25 seconds behind, as she started the freestyle course for a gold medal in an Olympic record of 3 minutes 51.60 seconds bring home.

The United States finished second with 3: 51.73.

White did not swim in the race for the United States. But she swam the backstroke in the qualifying race, which entitled her to receive the same medal as her four teammates in the medal round.

The United States used a completely different group of swimmers in the qualifying race than in the medal race, with eight swimmers receiving silver medals.

White made it to the US Olympic team after her junior season in Alabama.

In the women’s 100 meter back, White finished fourth on Tuesday – 0.38 seconds behind US bronze medalist Regan Smith.

In the women’s 200-meter backstroke on Friday, White finished fourth again – 0.22 seconds behind bronze medalist Emily Seebohm from Australia.
