Ole Miss baseball vs. no. 4 Arkansas: Live score updates Saturday

Ole Miss baseball has a chance to score a series win against a top-five opponent on Saturday in Fayetteville.

The Rebels (24-17, 7-12 SEC) battle No. 4 Arkansas (32-10, 12-7) from Baum-Walker Stadium on Saturday (7 pm, ESPN2). The Rebels won the first game of the three-game set Friday, defeating Arkansas 4-2 behind impressive pitching performances from Dylan DeLucia and Brandon Johnson and a small-ball offensive approach with eight singles and three doubles.

Freshman left-hander Hunter Elliott will be tasked with replicating DeLucia’s success. Elliott (1-3, 3.19 ERA) has allowed four earned runs in 11 ⅓ innings across three SEC starts but the Rebels are 1-2 in those games.

Arkansas counters with Hagen Smith, a freshman left-hander of his own. Smith (6-2, 3.83 ERA) allowed six earned runs in 4 ⅓ innings against Florida but has only allowed 10 earned runs in his other 30 SEC innings.

The Razorbacks aren’t in this position very often. Friday marked the first time Arkansas lost the first game of an SEC home series since April 1, 2021 and the Razorbacks haven’t lost a regular season series at Baum-Walker Stadium since Ole Miss took them down in 2019.
