<p>The Tennessee General Assembly approved two new one-time holidays this year in addition to the traditional sales tax holidays that are held annually.</p>

Through the Tennessee Treasury Department
The Tennessee Treasury Department is responsible for administering state tax laws and vehicle title and registration laws, as well as collecting taxes and fees associated with those laws. The department collects about 87 percent of the total state revenue. In fiscal 2020, it raised $ 15.1 billion in state taxes and fees and more than $ 3.2 billion in taxes and fees for local governments.
