Razorbacks host Oral Roberts in the midweek matchup

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The Arkansas men’s tennis team (4-0) continues at home this week and welcomes Oral Roberts (1-3) for a midweek matchup. The Razorbacks and Golden Eagles face off Wednesday, January 25 at 5 pm CT at the Billingsley Tennis Center.

Under head coach Jay Udwadia, the Razorbacks got off to a perfect start this spring. In its first four wins, Arkansas has taken four straight doubles and outscored its opponents 16-4. Freshman Gerard Planelles Ripoll has a big part in that success, boasting a 4-0 record in singles and a 2-0 record in doubles in his first collegiate games.

Oral Roberts travels to Fayetteville after a tough 7-0 loss to Oklahoma State last Sunday. The Golden Eagles have won the colon in their first two games, including a win over Montana State, but have lost the last two. Sophomore Igancio Vinas has posted a 2-2 record in 2nd place this double season and is leading the team so far. In doubles this spring, Vinas and his partner Ezequiel Monferrer took a 2-2 lead and secured the double with their two wins.
